The third quarter of 2024 saw some interesting trends in the performance of fish-themed games on the unified platform in South Africa. According to data from Sensor Tower, these top-performing apps demonstrated varied trends in weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Fishdom from Playrix experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, culminating at approximately $26.1K by the end of September. Downloads varied, with a peak of 8.9K in early September, and active users increased to around 23.3K in the same period.

Fishdom Solitaire, also by Playrix, maintained modest weekly revenue, ending the quarter at about $979. Although downloads were low, with a maximum of 23 in early August, the app had a steady user base of around 1.3K active users at the start of the quarter, slightly declining towards the end.

Hungry Shark Evolution by Ubisoft displayed a significant fluctuation in weekly downloads, hitting a high of 19.5K mid-July. Revenue showed a notable increase towards the end of September, reaching $568, while active users peaked at 128.8K in mid-September.

Hungry Shark World, another popular title from Ubisoft, saw a stable revenue trend, concluding the quarter at $173. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a peak of 4.8K in late September, and active users reached a high of 24K in the same timeframe.

Lastly, Octopus Feast by Rollic Games, despite being a newer entry, showed promising growth. Revenue increased to $831 by late September, and active users rose to 888. Downloads were highest at 530 in the final week of September.
